As Chico State Athletics have proven time and again, you can't keep a good 'Cat down…especially when it's heart is in the right place. The November 17 women's basketball game between the Wildcats and Academy of Art, postponed due to poor air quality associated with the Camp Fire, has been rescheduled for this coming Monday, December 3 at Acker Gymnasium. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m., and in keeping with the original contest, the Wildcats will offer free admission to the rescheduled event while encouraging fans to make a donation to the Wildcats Rise Fire Recovery Fund.
 
The Wildcat Athletics Family is committed to doing all it can to help spread awareness and help for those directly impacted by the Camp Fire, which struck Butte County on Thursday, November 8. The Chico State Athletics department is reaching out to fans asking for help raising money for the Wildcats Rise Fire Recovery Fund, established by the University.
 
Donations to this fund will support students, faculty, and staff in need of aid for clothing and household goods, electronics such as phones and laptops, transportation, childcare assistance, temporary housing, school supplies, or meal assistance.
 
A table will be set up in the Acker Gym lobby during Monday's game to make it easy to give. Fans who are unable to attend but would like to assist in the Wildcats Rise Fire Recovery Fund can also give by simply clicking THIS LINK or by texting WildcatsRise74 to 71777.
