Chico State's Corey Silverstrom averaged 17.5 points, four assists, three rebounds and 1.5 steals as the Wildcats won a pair of games last week.
 
The Wildcat of the Week scored 13 of his game-high 20 points in the final 8:32 to lead Chico State to a 53-50 victory over Sonoma State Saturday in Acker Gym.
 
The Wildcats trailed by eight before Silverstrom sank three 3-pointers in a four-minute span and added a pair of free throws to key a 15-2 run that put them in front for good.
 
Silverstrom also made a pair of free throws with six seconds left to secure the victory.
 
The junior from Fresno, Calif., tacked on four rebounds, two assists, a blocked shot and a steal as the Wildcats improved to 9-2.
 
Monday, Silverstrom scored 15 points and dished out a career-high six assists as the Wildcats derailed Pacific Union 109-63. He tacked on two rebounds and two steals.
 
Silverstrom and the Wildcats will host Cal State Monterey Bay and San Francisco State next week to close out 2016.
