The Chico State softball team has faced a whole host of challenges through the first half of the 2022 season, going head-to-head with nationally ranked schools in addition to several talented teams in and out of conference. The Wildcats' biggest challenge to date is coming up this Friday and Saturday, as the 'Cats and Cal State San Marcos—both ranked in the national Top 25 and deadlocked atop the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) standings—square off in Chico for a four-game series at University Softball Field.
The Wildcats and Cougars will get things underway with a doubleheader Friday beginning at 1 p.m., then conclude the series with a Saturday twin bill scheduled for 11 a.m.
Fans unable to attend in person can follow the action online with live streaming video via the CCAA Network. For $9.95 per month, fans can access every Chico State game—home and away—along with all live and archived CCAA matchups. Live Stats will also be available, with links found at
