Sometimes a long road trip can be the best medicine. The Chico State men's soccer team certainly hopes its bus trip over the Northern Coast Range and into Arcata does it some good.
On the heels of four straight one-goal losses, the Wildcats will face Humboldt State Friday at 3 p.m. before making their way down the coast to Rohnert Park where they'll face Sonoma State at 11:30 a.m.
Chico State, 5-4-1 overall and 0-4-0 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association, is in dire need of some results to get back into the six-team CCAA Championship Tournament.
Humboldt State is off to its best start it years at 8-1-0 overall and 4-0-0 in the CCAA. The Lumberjacks share the conference lead with 20 goals. Sonoma State is 6-4-1 overall and 1-2-1 in the CCAA. The Seawolves have allowed a conference-high 17 goals.
