Rinaldi Adds His Name to Another Wildcat Top 10 in Humboldt Invite

ARCATA, Calif. – Vincent Rinaldi has his named etched into the Chico State men's track & field all-time top 10 seven times across four events.
 
On Saturday at the Cal Poly Humboldt Invite, he expanded to five events.
 
Rinaldi ran a time of 47.95 seconds in the 400-meter for the ninth fastest mark in the program's 100-year history. While he won the event with his new personal-best, Rinaldi missed the provisional mark by 0.29 seconds.
 
While he ran the 200-meter run in 21.72 seconds to take second place, Rinaldi also missed the provisional mark by 0.55 seconds.
 
Rinaldi also came up victorious in the 4x400-meter relay with Trey Suffredini, Quincy Patton and Brody Staley as the quartet ran a time of 3:21.68.
 
Suffredini additionally found his way to the podium in the 400-meter, running 49.02 to place second behind Rinaldi.
 
Chance Hefter picked up a pair of wins in two throwing events. He won the discus throw in 48.15 meters while taking first in the shot put by reaching 16.33 meters. Hefter made the podium a third time by taking second in the hammer throw in 48.63 meters.
 
Ronin Tidd, Nehemiah Holiday and Tad Desambrana each took first in their respective events. Holiday won the triple jump in 13.75 meters, Desambrana clinched the hammer event in 50.81 meters and Tidd won the javelin in 50.97 meters.
 
Craven found his way to the podium, taking second in the pole vault and third in the javelin.
 
Matthew Rodriguez and Tyler St. Laurent both took third in the pole vault and hammer throw, respectively.
 
Chico State will head to the Bay Area next weekend to participate in four different meets. The first group will go to Berkeley to participate in California's Brutus Hamilton Multi-Events. The second group will join the first group on that campus Friday for the Brutus Hamilton Invitational. The third and fourth groups will be on the other side of the San Francisco Bay for the Stanford Invitational and the Mike Fanelli Track Classic held at San Francisco State's Cox Stadium.
