Men's Track & Field Get More Work in at Cody B Invite

REDDING, Calif. – The Chico State men's track & field team traveled north Saturday to compete at the Cody B Invite, hosted by Shasta College, and delivered a strong showing highlighted by multiple event victories and several personal-best performances.

Top Performances
– Brody Staley won the 400 meters in 47.45 to win the event. Trey Suffredini (48.21) and Logan Cole (49.02, personal best) finished second and third, respectively, while Harrison Hubbard added a personal-best 49.83.
– Lucas Curry led the hurdles crew with a pair of personal-best victories, winning the 110-meter hurdles in 15.52 and the 400-meter hurdles in 56.77. Lavell Cross placed second in the 110 hurdles in a personal-best 15.66.
– Donovan Marshall posted a personal-best 22.48 to place third in the 200 meters.
– Chico State swept both relays, as the 4x100-meter relay team of Staley, Suffredini, Cole and Rehaan Patil finished first. The Wildcats' 'A' 4x400-meter relay team of Miguel Long, Staley, Marshall and Harrison Hubbard won in 3:26.05, followed closely by the 'B' team of Jeffrey O'Brien, Suffredini, Curry and Cole in 3:26.60.
– In the field events, Nehemiah Holiday won the triple jump (13.42m) and placed second in the long jump (6.31m). Miguel Long added a third-place finish in the long jump at 6.29 meters.
– Jorge Barajas captured the shot put with a mark of 14.69 meters, while Alejandro Molina finished second in his collegiate debut at 14.45 meters. Molina also won the discus with a throw of 46.23 meters in his first collegiate meet, and Beau Gleeson placed second at 43.62 meters.
– Tad Desembrana led a dominant performance in the hammer throw, winning with a 52.25-meter mark. Tyler St. Laurent placed second (51.50m) and Sean Artist third (49.94m).
– Brady Giles finished second in the javelin with a personal-best 53.49 meters, and Jeffrey O'Brien placed third at 48.26 meters.
– Chijioke Ihejirka cleared 1.95 meters to finish third in the high jump.
