ARCATA, Calif. — The Chico State men's track & field team continued its 2026 campaign up north Saturday, competing at the Cal Poly Humboldt Invitational at the Redwood Bowl.
The Wildcats produced a strong showing highlighted by multiple event victories, a program top-10 relay performance, and an NCAA Division II provisional qualifying mark. Chico State's 4x400-meter relay team of Logan Cole, Harrison Hubbard, Lucas Curry, and Trey Suffredini won the event in 3:12.20 — the seventh-fastest time in program history — and secured a provisional mark.
Brody Staley led the sprints with a victory in the 200 meters (21.67), narrowly missing the NCAA provisional standard, while Trey Suffredini added a win in the 400 meters (47.92). Lucas Curry also captured a title in the 400-meter hurdles (57.27).
In the field events, Alejandro Molina headlined the throws with a win in the discus (47.25m / 155'), while Tyler St. Laurent claimed the hammer throw (51.75m / 169' 9"). Nehemiah Holiday added another event victory in the triple jump (14.15m / 46' 5.25").
