Ausbie, Craven Get Provisional Marks to Open 2025 Season

CHICO, Calif. – On two pitch-perfect days at University Stadium, the Wildcat men's track & field team got the 2025 season underway with the 41st Annual Chico State Multis with two provisional marks set by veterans Jordan Ausbie and Justin Craven.
 
Ausbie ended up winning the meet with 6,535 points and Justin Craven took the silver medal with 6,509 points, both achieving Chico State's first NCAA provisional stamps of the season.
 
A trio of newcomers, Jeffrey O'Brien, Travis Allen and Ronin Tidd, also finished in the top five in their Chico State debuts. O'Brien scored 6,094 points for third place and followed by Allen's 5,481 and Tidd's 5,376.
 
O'Brien and Craven each claimed two event wins. O'Brien won the 400-meter dash and the discus throw, Craven took first in the 110-meter hurdles and the pole vault. Ausbie won the long jump, Collin Totman, who finished 12th in scoring, won the shot put, and Tidd won the high jump.
 
Some of the Wildcats will head to Oroville for the Butte College Invitational on Saturday.
