ROHNERT PARK – The Chico State women's golf team closed out the Sonoma State Spring Invite as well as the regular season Tuesday with a sixth-place finish.

On their second loop through the 5,881-yard, par-72 Foxtail Golf Club, the Wildcats combined a score of 324, four strokes better than Monday's result.

Ariana Blagrove had the biggest turnaround between rounds. After scoring an 83 on the first day, the freshman birdied the par-4 eighth hole and made par 11 times to card a 78 and finish in a tie for 16
th.

Trinity Hernandez also had a better day. The junior also made par 11 times, including six in the front-9, to finish with an 80, a 6-stroke improvement.

Makenzi Laporte, in just her second round this season, came up with another 81 result on the course. She made par 13 times but ran into trouble in five holes that set her back in the total scoring.

Kaylie Parola had an 85 on the day while Kelly More finished with an 87.

All Wildcats played well in the par-3 15
th and par-4 17
th holes, making at least par. More birdied the 15
th hole to highlight her day.

Cal State LA and Simon Fraser both ended up tying for first with a pair of 623 scores and the Golden Eagles ended up winning the playoff hole. The Red Leafs' Kassie Muanyam took home the medalist honor with a 7-over 151.

With the regular season complete, the Wildcats will make a return to Sonoma County for the CCAA Championships, presented by Under Armour, hosted by the Seawolves at the Santa Rosa Golf & Country Club. The championship will be held April 22-24.
