SANTA ROSA – As the CCAA Conference Championships close, the Chico State women's golf team officially wraps up the 2023-24 season with a 6th-place finish.
Senior Kelly More played her final round as a Wildcat, devoted to being a student-athlete, and the only senior on the course for the 'Cats' carded a 245 across her final conference championship.
Ariana Blagrove concluded her first CCAA Championships with three rounds in the 70s, carding a 16-over 232 in her inaugural conference tournament. The freshman finished in 17th as the best finisher of the Wildcats on the week.
Finishing the week off, Brooke Pelletier carded her best tournament round with a 78 in the finale. The sophomore recorded a 25-over 241 in the conference contest, with a birdie on the seventeenth hole to round out her season on a high note.

Joining the team late into the season, Makenzi Laporte brought her talents to the women's golf team following the conclusion of the basketball team and her chance to compete in the NCAA West Regional in mid-March.
Laporte switched over with one regular season tournament remaining and then immediately sprung into the CCAA Championship field. The team was grateful for her ability to switch over as a dual sport athlete. The junior carded a 35-over 251 in her second year as a member of the women's golf team at Chico State.
Cal State San Marcos was victorious in Santa Rosa, claiming their fifth straight CCAA women's golf title since the sport became a championship-recognized event in 2017-18. The Cougars finished the week with a one over 865 team score.
Cal State Monterey Bay finished second with a team score of 28 over 892, and the hosting institution Sonoma State finished third with a 45 over 909.
