LOS ANGELES -- Mother Nature has not taken too kindly to Southern California over the weekend heading into Monday as heavy storms across the region forced the cancelation of Cal State LA's Spring Kickoff Classic, the spring season opener for Chico State.

The Wildcats were slated to play at the Golden Eagles' first-time hosting a collegiate competition tournament at Pasadena's Brookside Golf Club, but the persistent and heavy rains made it impossible.

Chico State will have to wait until February 26-27 for its next tournament, which is Cal State East Bay's Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout, held at Corica Park Golf Course in Alameda.
