CHICO, Calif. - Chico State women's soccer continues to exemplify a program that stresses the importance of academic and athletic balance among Wildcat student-athletes, with five CSC Academic All-District honorees.
Brynn Howard, Avery Pieri, Camryn Toole, Madison Noll, and Hannah Pieri earn spots on the 2024 Academic All-District list after maintaining excellence in the classroom and on the field throughout the fall season.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions: NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
To be nominated for Academic All-District, the student-athlete must:
- be a sophomore academically and athletically;
- be enrolled at his or her institution at the time of nomination either as an undergraduate or graduate. Only the school at which an athlete competed in the current academic year can nominate that player;
- have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average (on a 4.0 scale);
- compete in 90 percent of the institution's contests or must start in at least 66 percent of the contests.
Hannah Pieri and Madison Noll are the two repeat winners from 2023, continuing to push the bar of student-athlete excellence. Pieri, a civil engineering student, played in all 18 matches for the Wildcats in her junior season while pursuing her degree. Noll is an exercise physiology major who played all 18 games while amassing 1525 minutes alongside the Wildcats defensive line.
Brynn Howard is a newcomer to the list in her final season with the 'Cats, graduating this spring with her degree in liberal studies. The senior was an honorable mention in the 2024 CCAA All-Conference awards following an impressive season in the midfield.
Avery Pieri, a first-time Academic All-District honoree, closed out her collegiate career with respect from the conference with All-CCAA Second Team honors. She was a goal-scoring leader on the team and in the conference with eight goals, the second most in the CCAA.
Camryn Toole will graduate this fall with a degree in psychology, scoring two goals in her final season and appearing in all 18 matches for the Wildcats.
