CHICO, Calif. – In her final season with the Chico State women's soccer team, Hannah Pieri has been named to the D2CCA All-West Region Second Team. Voted on by sports information offices across the region, Pieri adds all-region recognition to an already impressive list of collegiate accomplishments.
The senior from Orangevale started all 20 matches for the Wildcats this season, logging 1,769 minutes on the wing — both career highs and the second-most minutes on the team.
Pieri scored three goals in consecutive matches, including the game-winner against Cal State Monterey Bay and key goals versus UC Merced and Cal State East Bay. She also set a new career high with four assists, two of which set up game-winning goals.
The left-footed winger was a threat in front of the net and a dangerous asset to the Chico State women's soccer squad, consistently marked by multiple defenders due to her ability to score from distance.
This marks Pieri's first career all-region honor, complementing her All-CCAA First Team selection earned earlier in November.
