The Chico State men's track and field team is chasing its 16
th California Collegiate Athletic Association title in the past 17 seasons, and fifth in a row, this weekend at Cox Stadium on the campus of San Francisco State. Thirty-two Wildcats will compete across 21 events over a three-day span, May 5–7. When the final pole is cleared and finish line crossed Saturday evening, a champion will be crowned.

Live streaming video will also available for Saturday's action; a fee is required to view.
Chico State leads Cal Poly Pomona by a slim margin in the most recent USTFCCCA Conference Ratings Index, based on best current marks, 1,918.35-1,727.48. Cal State San Marcos is a distant third.
Wildcats currently have the CCAA's top mark in seven different events. Conor Wells leads in the 800 and 1,500 meters. Jack Emanuel leads the 5,000 meters, Brayden McLaughlin the 10,000 meters, Cristian Brady the pole vault, Adam Kasten the long jump, and Aries Harris the javelin.
Just how good have the Wildcats been this season? One of eight teams in the conference, they account for one third of the top-five marks in the CCAA this season (34 of 105) and one third of the top-10 marks (65 of 203) as well.
Multi-event athlete Alex Robie ranks among the top five in three events, while eight others are among the top five in two: Wells, true freshman sprinter Vincent Rinaldi, 400-meter specialist Ty Thomson, distance runners Rory Abberton, Emanuel, and McLaughlin, freshman hurdler Parker Williams, and jumper Adam Kasten.
