’Cats taking over Kezar

Looking for first win of 2015 Thursday against Academy of Art; Face Dominican Saturday

Kezar Stadium, former home of the San Francisco 49ers, Oakland Raiders, and the California Victory of the USL's First Division, will be the home of the Chico State men's soccer team on Thursday and Saturday.
 
The Wildcats will play Academy of Art Thursday at 5 p.m. and Dominican University of California Saturday at 2 p.m. in the heart of The City.

Chico State is 0-2 after falling to 8th-ranked Seattle Pacific and Saint Martin's on the road. The Wildcats stumbled out of the gate in both matches, but played well after that.
 
They surrendered a sixth-minute goal Saturday against Seattle Pacific, eventually falling 1-0. The Wildcats spotted Saint Martin's a 2-0 lead in the opening 16 minutes on Monday before falling 3-2.
 
Wildcat of the Week Omar Nuno, a transfer from Santa Rosa Junior College, led the Wildcats with a goal and an assist. Matt Hurlow scored his 14th career goal and Jesus Ramos notched an assist.
 
The Wildcats will attempt to get off to a fast start this week in their final non-conference road matches of 2015. Chico State opens the home portion of its schedule on Friday, Sept. 18 at 7 p.m. against Holy Names before jumping into conference play the following weekend.
