Box Score CARSON – Lindsey Dias delivered a goal and assist as the Chico State women's soccer team won its California Collegiate Athletic Association opener 2-0 against Cal State Dominguez Hills Friday at the StubHub Center. 
 

Dias drew first blood in the 12^th minute, pouncing on a loose ball in the box and finding the back of the net for her second tally of the season.
 
Defender Cassi Scroggins scored her first collegiate goal, assisted by Dias and Megan Tabler, about five minutes before the half.
 
The Wildcats continued to play like a conference championship contender, winning for the fourth time in the last five matches, as the defense blanked the opposition for the third time in five matches. They improved to 4-2-1 overall and 1-0-0 in the CCAA.
 
Brianna Furner bagged a pair of saves while matching Nicole Adams for second in school history in goalkeeping wins with 32.
 
The Wildcats will stay in Southern California until Sunday when they face Cal State L.A. at 2 p.m. before returning home.
