The Chico State men's soccer team took care of business during the non-conference portion of its schedule, going 5-0-1 and rising to the No. 5 ranking in the nation.

Chico State opens California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) play Friday at Cal State Dominguez Hills at 7 p.m. and Sunday at Cal State L.A. at 11:30 a.m. Live stat links to both matches and a video link for Sunday are available in the calendar section on the homepage and on the men's soccer schedule page.
The Wildcats have advanced to three NCAA Championship Tournaments in the past four but are still seeking their first conference title since 2003.
Chico State was picked to finish third in the annual Preseason Coaches Poll behind Cal State L.A. and Cal State Dominguez Hills.
Cal State L.A. is off to a 4-1 start and leads the conference in goals scored. The Golden Eagles are currently ranked 4
th in the West Region. Cal State Dominguez Hills, meanwhile, is just 2-4-1 and has allowed a conference-high 13 goals.
