With two statement wins in the rearview mirror, the Chico State women's soccer team has a chance for a couple more this weekend.
Â
The Wildcats will shoot for their first road victory Friday at 2 p.m. at Dominican University of California in San Rafael. They'll attempt their second win against a top-25 team against third-ranked Cal State Stanislaus Sunday at 1 p.m. at University Soccer Stadium.

Â
The Wildcats opened the season with a 1-1 draw at Dixie State before losing 2-0 at California Baptist two days later. But they beat then-No. 24 Seattle Pacific in their home opener last Wednesday before slamming Saint Martin's 3-1 at home on Sunday.
Â
The Wildcats entered the National Soccer Coaches Association of America West Region rankings at No. 9 on the strength of those two victories.
Â
They'll try to keep rolling against a winless Dominican team (0-4). Chico State is 2-0 all time against the Penguins. They last met in 2012 and the Wildcats won 3-0 behind current defender Halima Abdelshife's first collegiate goal and current goalkeeper Brianna Furner's shutout.
Â
Chico State leads the all-time series against Cal State Stanislaus 14-9-6, but the Warriors have had the better of the series of late, going 6-1-2 against the Wildcats since 2010. This is a rare non-conference matchup between the teams, which will meet again during conference play on Oct. 19 in Turlock.
Â
The defending California Collegiate Athletic Association Champion Warriors are 5-0 and have outscored their opponents 14-1 since season opening 3-2 overtime win at California Baptist.
Â
Two-time defending CCAA Player of the Week Jade Poon leads the CCAA and ranks third in the nation with seven goals. The freshman's four game-winning goals top the nation.
Â
Cal State Stanislaus brings two impressive streaks into the match. The Warriors are unbeaten (21-0-2) in their last 23 regular season matches and 20-0-4 on the road since the middle of the 2011 campaign.
Â
Chico State has won five straight at home.
