There's plenty of free soccer to be had at University Soccer Stadium this weekend when the Chico State men and women host Cal Poly Pomona Friday and UC San Diego Sunday. As always, Chico State students get in free with a student ID. Faculty and staff can also get up to four free tickets for Friday night's action by stopping by the main athletics office at 135 Acker Gym by 5 p.m.

Friday night's action against Cal Poly Pomona gets under way with the men's match at 4:30. The women will tangle at 7 p.m. Sunday, UC San Diego is in town. The men play at 11:30 a.m. and the women at 2 p.m.

The Chico State women's team, currently ranked ninth in the West Region, is 4-3-1 overall and 1-1-0 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association. Cal Poly Pomona (6-2-0, 1-1-0 CCAA) is ranked No. 6 in the West Region. UC San Diego is 3-4-1 overall and 0-2-0 in the CCAA.

The Chico State men's team rolled into the opening weekend of conference play ranked 5
th in the nation, but dropped all the way out with two 1-0 losses on the road. The Wildcats are 5-2-1 overall and 0-2-0 in the CCAA. Cal Poly Pomona is ranked 17
th in the nation and No. 2 in the West Region thanks to a 7-0-1 start (2-0-0 CCAA) in which they've outscored their opponents 12-1. UC San Diego is 6-3 overall and 1-1 in the CCAA.
