Box Score HAYWARD – Chico State Women's Soccer Coach Kim Sutton's heart needed a respite after her team's two late come-from-behind victories last weekend and a match against 10^th-ranked Cal State Stanislaus looming. Her team gave her just that.
 
The Wildcats rolled to a 3-0 victory at Cal State East Bay in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) opener for both teams Friday night at Pioneer Stadium.
 
What didn't change, however, was who provided the scoring punch. Reigning CCAA Player of the week Scotie Walker scored a goal and had an assist. Carly Singer also had a goal and assist. And Megan Tabler scored for the second time this season.
 
Goalkeepers Brianna Furner and Sidney Coleman-McNally combined on the shutout but didn't have to make a single save. In fact, Chico State outshot the Pioneers 16-2 and earned a 6-0 advantage in corner kicks.
 
Furner earned the victory, giving her 23 during her three-year career. Only Kari Gonzalez (40 wins from 2004-07) and Nicole Adams (32 from 1991-94) have won more between the pipes for the Wildcats.
 
Tabler opened the scoring in the 30^th minute, heading home Singer's cross. The assist was the 15^th of Singer's career, tying her with Leondra May Dodge (1987-90) for eighth in the program's history.
 
Singer scored her fifth career goal in the 72^nd minute, touching home Walker's cross.
 
Walker put the match away three minutes later, blasting home the rebound from her own saved shot. The senior now has three goals and three assists in three matches this season.
 
Chico State, ranked No. 4 in the West Region entering the weekend, will put its unbeaten record on the line against fellow unbeaten Cal State Stanislaus on Sunday at 11:30 a.m.
