The Chico State women's soccer team's seniors on Senior Day.
Singer took two shots and played the full 90 minutes. Walker took two shots as well, one of which was saved off the line. Leiva and Bassett helped the Wildcats' defense register its fourth shutout in the last five matches of the season.

The group was well aware of what Sunday meant. Walker and Singer each posted messages on social media prior to the match.

Walker said this: Today marks the day I get to physically put this jersey on for the last time, but I will always forever represent Chico State W Soccer. Thank you coach for being everything a player could ask for in their career! lovethisteam familyforever

And this was Singer's message: Last game ever in a wildcat uniform. I loved every second of these last four years and couldn't have asked for a better group of girls and coaches. Love you all so much.

Leiva left the following message leading into the weekend:  It's been an unforgettable 17 years of playing the sport I love! It has made me the person I am today and wouldn't change it for the world! I'm truly blessed to have had such an enjoyable soccer career, meeting and working with amazing teammates and coaches not to mention getting to travel the country playing something I love! Thanks to everyone who has made my soccer career memorable!

The Wildcats recovered well from a very rough first half. They didn't get off a shot until the final two seconds of the first half. Meanwhile, the Otters peppered Furner with a dozen tries, six of which were turned away by Furner. The clean sheet was the 19th of the junior's career and drew her to within one of Nicole Adams for second in school history. The win was her 28th. Kari Gonzales holds the record with 40, followed by Adams with 32.

The Wildcats won four of their final five matches and hope that momentum carries over to 2014. Seven starters are slated to return.
