Wildcats hosting CCAA South Division leader Cal State San Bernardino

Thrilling soccer, free cheeseburgers, and a chance to help make history: what a way to spend a Friday evening!

The Chico State women's soccer team, which has earned the moniker "Comeback 'Cats" for a trio of comeback victories already this year, is hosting Cal State San Bernardino Friday at 4:30 p.m. to kick off Carl's Jr. Pack The House Night. Everyone in attendance during the doubleheader at University Soccer Stadium will receive a Carl's Jr. Western Bacon Cheeseburger buy-one-get-one-free coupon as we try to set a new single date soccer attendance record.

The Wildcats, who will play at San Francisco State on Sunday, enter the weekend ranked No. 8 in the West Region at 4-3-1 overall and 2-3-1 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA).

Cal State San Bernardino, ranked No. 5 in the West and atop the CCAA South Division standings, is 6-2-1 overall and 4-1-1 in the CCAA.

The match is likely to be a tight one of early-season results are an indication. Cal State San Bernardino has outscored its opponents just 11-8 despite its glittering record. And the Wildcats have already come from behind to win three times this season, and on another occasion came back from two goals down to tie UC San Diego.

Sunday's match at San Francisco State is scheduled for 2 p.m. Links to live stats and live video are available on the Chico State athletics home page.
