LOS ANGELES - The Chico State women’s soccer team must be looking forward to its upcoming four-match home stand. The Wildcats certainly aren’t having much fun on the road. They fell to 1-4 on the road this season with a 4-1 loss at Cal State L.A. Friday afternoon.
Melissa Lindsay scored the Wildcats’ lone goal, but they were already down 3-0 at that point and fell to 6-5-2 overall and 2-3-2 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association. Cal State L.A. which has now scored 12 goals in its last four matches, improved to 3-6-1 overall and 2-5-0 in the CCAA.
The Wildcats had not allowed four goals in a match since the final match of 2006 in a 4-0 loss to UC San Diego.
Chico State, which boasts a 5-1-2 record at University Soccer Stadium, begins that four-match home stand against Cal State Dominguez Hills Friday at 7 p.m.
