Synchro Bull continued her solid sophomore season with three double-digit scoring performances last week as Chico State beat Cal State Stanislaus, Cal State East Bay and UC San Diego in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) play. Her efforts have netted the Oakland native her third Wildcat of the Week award.
Bull – who has now scored 10 or more points in six consecutive games – poured in a team-high 18 last Tuesday, hitting seven of 10 shots on the night, to go along with three rebounds, three assists and four steals in the Wildcats’ 68-54 win over Stanislaus. Against Cal State East Bay Friday, Bull nailed seven of 11 from the field, including a pair of 3-pointers, to finish with 16 points, five rebounds, one assist and two steals as Chico State downed the visiting Pioneers 67-52. Saturday, Bull came through with 12 points – 10 in the decisive second half – to go along with five rebounds, three assists and a steal in the Wildcats’ 77-67 upset of No. 7 UC San Diego.
Bull is averaging a career-high 9.9 points a game on the season and is one of the key players behind Chico State’s current four game winning streak that has vaulted the Wildcats into sole possession of fourth place in the CCAA standings. Bull also ranks among the conference leaders in assists (3.3 a game), field goal percentage (46.9 percent) and steals (averaging 1.6 a night).
The Wildcats wrap up a five game homestand this weekend as they welcome Sonoma State to Acker Gym Friday night, followed by Humboldt State on Saturday.
