Chico State sophomore golfer Eric Frazzetta carded a 3-under par 141 to take home third place at the Sonoma State Invitiational, which concluded Tuesday. Frazzetta's 2-under par 70 Tuesday was only one stroke off the day's best round. For his efforts, Frazzetta has been named Wildcat of the Week.
Frazzetta, a product of Long Beach Poly High School, wrapped up a terrific fall for himself and the Wildcats with his efforts Tuesday. He compiled a stroke average of 72.5 and recorded finishes of 12th place, 16th place, eighth place, and third place as the Wildcats finished third in two tournaments and won two tournaments.
Frazzetta now has seven career top-20 finishes and three career top-10 finishes to his credit. His third-place finish this week is the second best finish of his collegiate career. He tied for second at last season's Grand Canyon Invitational.
