Chico State third baseman Ruben Padilla hit .500 and drove in three of Chico State's 10 runs during a three-game sweep against Azusa Pacific Thursday and Friday to earn Wildcat of the Week honors.
 
Padilla, who has hit safely in all five games this season, also drew a walk and was hit by a pitch for an on-base average of .600.
 
The senior from Raseda was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI in the Wildcats' series-opening 6-2 win. He also laid down a sacrifice bunt to set up the game's first run.
 
He was 1-for-2 and got hit by a pitch in Chico State's 1-0 win in the second game of Thursday's doubleheader.
 
Friday he went 1-for-3 with the only base hit during Chico State's three-run fifth in a 3-1 victory.

Padilla and the Wildcats open CCAA play with a four-game series at UC San Diego beginning Friday at 6 p.m.
