Synchro Bull is already enjoying the most consistent season of her young Chico State career, but last weekend the sophomore from Oakland had her official “coming out” party, scoring a combined 33 points and leading the Wildcats in scoring in road games against Cal Poly Pomona and Cal State San Bernardino. She's been honored as Wildcat of the Week.
Friday against Cal Poly Pomona, Bull was the lone Wildcats player scoring in double figures, posting 13 points to go along with three assists, a blocked shot and a steal in Chico State’s 53-48 loss to the Broncos. Saturday versus Cal State San Bernardino, Bull scored a career-high 20 points, hitting nine of 14 shots from the field; she also contributed four assists and three steals in the Wildcats’ 61-51 win over the Coyotes.
Bull is averaging 9.1 points a game for Chico State on the season, and is ranked third in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.1), fourth in assists (averaging 3.4 a game), sixth in field goal percentage (46.5 percent), and is tied with Wildcat teammate Natasha Smith for 11th in the conference in steals (averaging 1.5 a night).
The Wildcats return to Acker Gym for three home games this week. Tuesday Chico State hosts Cal State Stanislaus, then entertains Cal State East Bay on Friday and UC San Diego on Saturday.
