Scotie Walker may only be a sophomore, but she has already displayed a flair for the dramatic – the Sacramento native had a hand in both scores during Chico State’s first victory of the year, with her first career goal as a ’Cat – coming with less than four minutes to play in the second overtime period – providing the game-winner. Her solid play over the weekend has earned Walker the Wildcat of the Week award.

Friday against Sonoma State, Walker set up Lisa Webster for the match-tying goal in the 72nd minute. Then at 1:06.21 of the second overtime, Walker booted home the game winner from 15 yards out to give Chico State a thrilling 2-1 victory over the Seawolves. Walker attempted a pair of shots Sunday in Turlock against Cal State Stanislaus, and though she failed to find the back of the net, turned in another consistent performance in the Wildcats’ 2-1 loss to the Warriors.

Walker currently ranks second on the team in scoring, and leads Chico State in both shots and shots on goal.
