ALISO VIEJO, Calif. - Coming off another impressive result to launch Chico State's 2026-27 men's golf fall season, Vineet Vallamsetty has been selected as the FloCollege/CCAA Men's Golfer of the Week following a home tournament win. Vallamsetty won the 2026 Wildcat Classic by two strokes with a 14-under-par 202 while helping Chico State capture the team title at Peach Tree Golf and Country Club.

The sophomore from Newbury Park, Calif., was remarkably consistent over 54 holes, posting rounds of 68 (-4), 65 (-7) and 69 (-3).

Vallamsetty finished 8-under on par-4 holes, four strokes better than anyone else in the field. He was also 6-under on par-5 holes and recorded just one bogey during the tournament.

Chico State won the tournament by eight strokes with a 42-under-par 822. The 12-team field included six CCAA programs.

The honor marks Vallamsetty's third career CCAA Men's Golfer of the Week award after earning the recognition twice during his freshman season.

Chico State returns to action Sept. 25-26 at the Bishop Invitational, hosted by Saint Martin's in DuPont, Wash.
