CHICO, Calif. – Chico State men's golfers Naoki Easterday and Vineet Vallamsetty have been named to the PING All-West Region Team, adding to an already impressive list of postseason honors for the Wildcats.

The selections continue Chico State's tradition of excellence on the course, with the program now boasting 18 all-region honorees in its history. Easterday becomes a three-time All-West Region selection, while Vallamsetty earns the honor in his first collegiate season.

Easterday headlined Chico State's postseason accolades after being named the 2026 CCAA Player of the Year following a standout senior campaign. The Oregon native captured two tournament victories, recorded seven top-five finishes and posted nine rounds of even par or better throughout the season.

He closed out his collegiate career with an eighth-place finish at the NCAA Division II West/South Central Super Regional and finished second in the final West Region rankings.

Vallamsetty was named the 2026 CCAA Freshman of the Year, becoming the fifth Wildcat since 2002 to receive the honor. In his debut season, the freshman competed in 10 tournaments, earning two individual victories and opening the year with a 13-under performance at the Wildcat Invitational.

At his first NCAA regional appearance, Vallamsetty finished tied for 42nd at The Reserve at Spanos Park and concluded the season ranked 13th in the West Region.

The Wildcats capped the 2025–26 campaign with a CCAA championship and an 11th-place finish at the NCAA Division II West/South Central Super Regional. Chico State recorded four tournament victories during the season, including three consecutive team titles in the spring.
