ALISO VIEJO, Calif. – Coming off one of the best outings a Chico State baseball pitcher has thrown so far on the young season, Wildcat starter Thomas Meyer was selected as the FloCollege/CCAA Pitcher of the Week award winner.
 
Meyer turned in the most dominant outing against Western Oregon, throwing six no-hit innings in game three that resulted Chico State winning 5-4 in extra innings to clinch the four-game non-conference series. Although he received a no-decision in the game, the junior right-hander struck out three and gave up a walk in the second inning and a hit batsman in the sixth on 78 pitches.
 
The performance lowered his earned-run average to 4.05. Additionally, he ranks 11^th in the CCAA in WHIP (1.20).
 
This is the first career CCAA Pitcher of the Week honor for Meyer, and the first for Chico State since Marco Ibarra last season (April 14, 2025).
 
The Wildcats continue their 22-game homestand this weekend with the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs for a four-game series beginning Friday. All four games are scheduled to be available on FloCollege.
