CHICO, Calif. – Iresh and Della Molina have earned their way to the national stage for the second consecutive season, qualifying for the 2025 NCAA Track & Field Championships in Pueblo, Colorado.
The twins are the sole women's track and field athletes who punched their tickets to the national championships this season. They are following up their All-American performances in Emporia last year.
This time around, the duo has found their names in the same two events: the 10,000m and 5000m, and will compete against one another at the Thunderbowl. The duo earned qualification in the events in the same races throughout the regular season.
The 10,000m mark was achieved by the twins at the Stanford Invitational, their first time competing in the event for the season. Iresh led the way with a 9th place finish in a field of mostly DI competitors with a time of 34:08.97. Della was on her heels in 10th place, with a time of 34:09.93—both Wildcats nabbing personal bests on the way to ranking in the top-five nationally.
It took the Chico native's a little longer to snag their strong provisional marks in the 5000m, claiming their best finishes at Bryan Clay against another set of fields full of DI runners. Running in separate heats, Della finished her heat in 11th place with a 16:17.53 personal best, placing her at 15th in the nation. Iresh, finishing only four seconds slower than her sister, is going into the national meet ranked at 17th with a 16:21.15 best time.
