AZUSA, Calif. - Hoping for another shot, Chico State women's track & field traveled to Azusa for the Franson Last Chance in hopes to jump into national qualifier range.
Angelina Escobar had a commendable hammer throw attempt with a 50.41m best mark. Escobar tried to extend her mark in the discus with a 34.14m mark.
Andrea Villalta finished second in the javelin with a 41.85m mark, but was unable to extend into the provisional benchmark.
Allie Goetz was just shy of reaching a new best, jumping for a 1.63m mark in the high jump. She reached a provisional mark of 1.68m last time in Southern California.
Catherin McGuire ran a 2:16.09 in the 800m, with teammate Sidney Garcia just behind her at 2:17.91.

In the 1500m, Sienna Bianchi reached a provisional mark and personal best time of 4:29.81. Kaya Scuba came in behind her teammate in 4:34.31.
Closing out the night, Olivia Beschorner was able to capture another provisional mark time in the steeplechase of 10:59.01. She was only two seconds shy of her personal best but has made incredible strides in her first season with the Wildcats.
