An Outstsnding Weekend of Wildcat Competition Across California

The Wildcats spread out between four separate meets throughout California for their final regular season weekend before the conference championships in Turlock starting on May 1st. 
 

Bryan Clay Invitational | Hosted by APU 
 

Iresh Molina had a successful weekend at the Bryan Clay Invite, finishing second in her 5000m heat with an NCAA provisional mark, clocking a time of 16:21.15. Della Molina finished eleventh in a faster heat, clocking a provisional mark time of 16:17.53. Both sisters finished with new personal bests in the event and jumped into the national top 16 of the event. 


Freshman Kaya Scuba can look back at her first Bryan Clay Invite with a smile after she finished sixth in her heat with a personal best time of 4:32.51 in the 1500m. She now ranks sixth in the CCAA in the 1500m and 800m events. 
 

Sienna Bianchi found a favorable PR in the 800m with a 66th-place finish in a field of 167 others, clocking a time of 2:14.07. 


Jumping into fourth place in the CCAA, the 4x400m relay team of Danielle Bacon, Kaitlyn Gonzales, Madi Monroe, and Sidney Garcia combined for a 3:53.61 time. 


Sage Coyle finished 11th place in the hammer throw, coming up just short of her new school record with a mark of 51.34m. 
 

Janey Rubio secured an 8th place finish in the pole vault with a 3.55m mark but attempted her personal best, still searching for that first successful vault over 3.70m. 
 

ULV Leopard Invitational | University of La Verne
 

Olivia Beschomer was a star in La Verne after running a 10:57.95 provisional time in the 3000m steeplechase, finishing in fourth and 43rd in the nation. Zoe Aitken ran a solid race alongside Beschomer with a personal best time of 11:26.79; she now ranks 8th throughout the CCAA in the event. 

Catherine McGuire finished second place in the 800m Run Fast Section with a 2:17.30, a second shy of her best. 

Jasmine Fletcher finished fifth place in the 5000m after running a 17:27.16 at La Verne, with teammate Megan Malloy crossing the line at 17:39.95 in tenth. 

Beach Invite | Hosted by Long Beach State 


A commendable 4x100m relay attempt from Tianna Thompson, Madi Monroe, Kaitlyn Gonzales, and Breah Bell earned them the fifth-best time in the CCAA with a combined time of 48.17. The 4x400m relay squad of Thompson, Monroe, Gonzales, and Bacon found similar success with a 10th place finish of 3:55.27 at the Beach Invite. 

In the 400m, Bacon claimed a 25th-place finish with a clocked result 57.05.  

Black and Gold Invite | Hosted by Butte College 

Sativa Younge claimed a new personal best in the 100m with a strong second place finish and a time of 12.61.

Kallia Yang added two new personal bests in Oroville, with a 100m finish of 12.74 and a 200m time of 26.31. Teammate Bella Morales also picked up a personal best in the 100m with a time of 13 seconds flat.

Natalie Muse took the top finish in the 100m hurdles event with a time of 14.97, but highlighting her day was a personal best in the high jump with a mark of 1.50m. 

Alongside Muse, Annie Belter also claimed a personal best in the high jump of 1.50m, finishing in second.

Jessi Rae Flynn threw for the top spot in the javelin event with a mark of 35.82m. Annabelle Low recorded a new personal best in the event with a 27.78m mark.

Mia Beltran ran for a 1:08.65 to finish on top of the podium in the 400m hurdles event.

Madison Kalberer had a successful trip to Butte College after recording three new personal bests; 100m hurdles (18.62), long jump (4.94m), and shot put (8.43m).

Breanna Lawrence threw for a second place finish in the shot put and tallying a personal best with a hurl of 11.76m.
