CARMEL, Calif. – The Chico State women's golf team closed out their visit at The Patriot Invitational Tuesday. Playing a third round for the first time this season, the Wildcats had a much better performance, scoring a 38-over par at the 5,875-yard, par-71 Quail Lodge Golf Club.

Trinity Hernandez continued to lead the way for the Wildcats. The senior shot a 6-over 77 thanks to two birdies. After she recorded her second birdie, Hernandez went on to finish the round making par six of seven holes. She went on to finish 51
st overall.

Brooke Pelletier had the biggest leap in the individual leaderboard, jumping seven spots to 68
th after scoring 7-over par. The junior had an excellent front-9, making a birdie on a par-4 sixth hole and making par seven times.

Hollyn Drennen moved up two spots in the standings after finishing 12-over in the third round and newcomer Sophia Magana shot 13-over par. Ariana Blagrove rounded out the 'Cats in the final round scoring 14 over par.

Host Dallas Baptist made the big leap over Harvard to win the tournament, finishing three-over in the third round to combine a plus-33. Arkansas Tech's Ellen Spigner took the individual medalist honor after finishing 1-under, the only participant to score under par.

The Wildcats have one more stop before the CCAA Championships. They will participate in Sonoma State's Spring version of its invitational, this time at the Santa Rosa Golf and Country Club on April 7-8. Chico State participated in the Seawolves' Fall Invitational in October, taking third place.
