Aragon’s Back-to-Back Dominance Earns Her FloCollege/CCAA Player of the Week Honors

| By:

ALISO VIEJO, Calif. – Chico State senior forward Meadow Aragon has been selected as the FloCollege/CCAA Women's Basketball Player of the Week for Dec. 1–7 after delivering perhaps one of the most dominant two-game stretches of her Wildcat career.

Aragon played a key part in Chico State's 2–0 start to conference play with back-to-back double-doubles, averaging 18.0 points, 13.0 rebounds, and 1.5 assists across the week. She was nearly automatic at the free throw line, finishing a combined 14-for-16.

She opened the week with a commanding performance in Chico State's 88–54 victory over UC Merced, pouring in 21 points on 8-of-15 shooting. The senior forward pulled down 15 rebounds, added two blocks, and grabbed two steals, setting the tone on both ends of the floor. Aragon closed the weekend with another steady performance, scoring 15 points and securing 11 rebounds while going 9-of-10 from the free-throw line in Saturday's 66–52 win over Stanislaus State.

Aragon's impact continues to resonate on a national level. She now ranks fourth in NCAA Division II with five double-doubles and leads the CCAA in rebounds per game (11.1). She also sits fourth in field-goal percentage (.437), reflecting her consistent production inside.

Aragon becomes the second straight Wildcat to earn CCAA Player of the Week honors, following last week's recognition for Kaylie Edge. The last time Chico State claimed the award in back-to-back weeks was during the 2010–11 season. This also marks Aragon's third career CCAA Player of the Week honor after winning the award twice during the 2024–25 campaign.

Chico State will host Saint Martin's in a non-conference matchup on Friday, Dec. 12, before traveling to face UC Davis in an exhibition game on Sunday, Dec. 14.
