Due to expected rain on the forecast, Sunday's baseball series finale between Chico State and Cal Poly Pomona has been cancelled and will not be made up.
 
Despite the rainout, Chico State and Cal Poly Pomona did get three games in before the anticipated inclement weather with the 'Cats winning all contests to take the California Collegiate Athletic Association series.
 
Hopefully a third time will be a charm as Chico State will attempt to play a true road series next weekend. The Wildcats will head to Rohnert Park to play a four-game series with Sonoma State beginning Friday at 3 p.m.
