Wildcats on the road in Washington this week

Take No. 6 ranking in West Region into matches against Saint Martin’s and Simon Fraser

9/8/2021 5:11:00 PM

Following an impressive opening weekend split on the home pitch at University Soccer Stadium, the Chico State men's soccer team faces another challenging weekend with its first road trip of 2021. The Wildcats, 1-1-0 after beating Western Washington and falling in overtime to nationally-ranked Seattle Pacific, are in Lacey, Washington, for a pair of matches this week.

As part of a four-team event featuring some of the West Region's top programs, the Wildcats will take on event host Saint Martin's (0-2-0) Thursday at 1 p.m. and then 18th-ranked Simon Fraser (1-1-0) Saturday at noon at Saints Field. Admission is free for all spectators. Chico State rival Sonoma State will also be in Lacey, but the Wildcats and Seawolves will not meet on the pitch.
