Four fun-filled days ahead for Chico State baseball fans

’Cats to collide with rival Sonoma State in Sunday’s Capital City Clash IV

Opening day at Nettleton Stadium, their biggest rivals, and a chance to play at Raley Field, perhaps the nicest of the nation's Triple-A stadiums: It's all coming in the next four days for the 16th-ranked Chico State baseball team.

The Wildcats host Sonoma State Thursday night at 5 p.m. and again Friday for an 11 a.m. doubleheader. The teams will reconvene Sunday at 1 p.m. in Sacramento for the fourth annual Capital City Clash at Raley Field.

Tickets for the Capital City Clash are still available HERE. Be sure to use the special offer code "wildcats".

Chico State, the defending NCAA Championship Tournament West Region Champion, is off to a 4-2 start and 3-0 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA). Returning All-America closer Luke Barker, the reigning West Region Pitcher of the Week, will likely get the ball to start Thursday night's home opener.

Sonoma State is 3-7 on the season after dropping four straight to open CCAA play at Cal State L.A. last weekend.
