POMONA - Senior outside hitter Lindsay Macias recorded a season-high 20 kills, but the Chico State volleyball team couldn’t get past 24th-ranked Cal Poly Pomona on Saturday night in Darlene May Gymnasium. The Broncos outlasted the Wildcats 3-2. Set scores were 25-21, 21-25, 21-25, 25-22, 15-7.

Crystal Trifeletti and Megan Cape combined for 26 kills. Chico State (8-6, 1-3 CCAA) recorded a .162 attack percentage (66-35-191) for the match, while the Broncos (7-2, 3-0 CCAA) were 47-16-145 for a .214 percentage.

The Wildcats travel south again next weekend to take on Cal State Dominguez Hills and Cal State L.A.
