ALISO VIEJO, Calif. – The regular season may be complete, but the recognition keeps rolling in for the Wildcats. Chico State's Claire Nordeen has been named the final FloCollege/CCAA Setter of the Week for the 2025 season.
Nordeen becomes the first Wildcat to earn multiple CCAA weekly honors in a single season since Olivia Mediano accomplished the feat in 2016.
The sophomore from Fallbrook orchestrated a balanced Chico State offense that hit .255 across last week's matches against Cal State East Bay and San Francisco State. Nordeen averaged 9.13 assists and 4.25 digs per set, showcasing her all-around playmaking ability.
In Friday's five-set win over East Bay, she totaled 43 assists and 16 digs, then followed with 30 assists, 18 digs, and two kills in Saturday's four-set victory versus SF State. Nordeen also hit .313 for the weekend, adding two service aces while guiding an attack that featured four hitters hitting .270 or better.
Nordeen wrapped up the CCAA season ranked third in assists per set (8.55) and 11th in digs per set (3.14). She previously earned FloCollege/CCAA Setter of the Week honors for Sept. 8–14, after helping lead Chico State to a 3–1 showing at Cal Poly Humboldt's Redwood Coast Classic.
Chico State closed out the 2025 campaign with a 12–13 overall record and an 8–10 mark in CCAA play—both program bests since 2019. The Wildcats finished seventh in the conference standings, their highest placement since 2013.
