When the Chico State baseball team needed a jolt during its weekend home series against Cal State Dominguez Hills, Jacob Jablonski was ready to deliver. The junior third baseman supplied the majority of the power to the Wildcats’ potent offense over the weekend, blasting three homers—including a Sunday walk-off—and driving in nine runs as the ’Cats earned a split of the four-game set. Jablonski’s huge contributions on offense make him the latest Wildcat of the Week.
Â
Jablonski batted .400 (6-for-15) in the series, reached base 10 times, and scored five runs while posting a 1.000 slugging percentage and .526 on-base percentage, helping the Wildcats finish the weekend with an overall record of 27-9 and 20-7 in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) play.

In Friday’s series opener, Jablonski ripped a pair of home runs and drove in five as Chico State bested the Toros 15-8, then went 3-for-4 in the first game of Saturday’s doubleheader. He saved his biggest blow for Sunday’s series finale, capping off a six-run rally in the bottom of the ninth inning with a walk-off three-run homer to dead center field, giving the Wildcats a dramatic 14-11 win.
Â
Jablonski is batting .313 so far on the season with four home runs and 26 runs batted in. The Southern California native is also sporting a .466 on-base percentage and .482 slugging percentage.

Jablonski and the Wildcats are on the road this week, taking on Cal State San Bernardino. The four-game series begins with single game action on Thursday, followed by a doubleheader on Friday. The ’Cats and ’Yotes conclude the set with a single game Saturday.
