Kim Wright has earned several honors throughout her Chico State volleyball career. In addition to two All-California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) accolades and a CCAA Championship All-Tournament Team selection, the veteran middle hitter has racked up no less than five CCAA All-Academic awards. Playing in her final season, Wright’s outstanding performance at the Hawaii Challenge make her an early favorite to reel in more conference hardware. In the meantime, she wins the honor of being the Wildcat of the Week.
Â
Wright connected for 61 kills in Chico State’s four season-opening matches, averaging 3.39 kills per set and posting a .279 hitting percentage. She also piled up 43 digs and 18 blocks—seven of which were solo stuffs.Â

Wright began the season with a 16-kill, four-block performance Thursday as the ’Cats opened the 2019 campaign with a win over Minot State. She followed it up Friday with a career-high 28 kills, 15 digs and nine blocks—duplicating her single-match career best—in a tough five-set loss to host Hawaii Pacific.
