Chico State designated hitter Alex DeVito hit safely in all seven games and piled up six extra-base hits and 11 runs batted in to help lead the Chico State baseball team to a 7-0 week and earn Wildcat of the Week honors.

The senior hit .429 (12-for-29) with three home runs, two doubles, and a triple, racking up 25 total bases and an .893 slugging percentage. He also drew three walks and scored nine runs.

DeVito went 2-for-3 with a run, an RBI, and a pair of walks in the Wildcats' 10-5 series-opening win at Cal State East Bay—a game suspended in the seventh inning Sunday and completed on Monday. He went 1-for-4 with a double and scored the go-ahead run on a passed ball in Monday's first full game, a 6-2 win, before wrapping up the series with a 3-for-5 effort in which he doubled, tripled, drove in four runs, and scored three more in a 13-3 victory.

DeVito stayed hot over the weekend in San Bernardino. He went 2-for-5 and scored a run in a 7-5 victory in the opener. Saturday, DeVito drilled his first home run of the season to break a scoreless tie in the opener, eventually won 4-1 by the Wildcats.

DeVito went deep twice more in the nightcap, hitting a three-run blast in the first to stake the Wildcats to a 3-0 lead before tying the game in the fifth with a towering shot to center field. He finished the game 2-for-4 with two runs and four RBI.

DeVito went 1-for-4 with an RBI-single in the nightcap, a 7-3 Chico State win. He is now hitting .356 with a team-high slugging percentage of .562. DeVito is tied for the team lead in runs and RBI and leads the team in home runs, total bases, and times hit by pitches.

DeVito and the Wildcats will be back in action this weekend when they host Cal State LA for a four-game series beginning with a single game Friday at 6 p.m.
