Category: Descriptors (words that describe a particular player).
Answer: Energy. Effort. Active. Wildcat of the Week.
Your response (hopefully): Marvin Timothy.
Timothy took the floor with his usual energy and effort Saturday night, and in just 15 minutes, racked up nine points, eight rebounds, and an assist, helping lead the Wildcats to a 74–36 victory against rival Humboldt State.
Timothy entered the game midway through the first half, and in the next six-plus minutes, scored four points and grabbed a pair of rebounds. He was back in early in the second half, and in just 5:49, contributed two points, three rebounds, and an assist.
The junior center made his final appearance with just over six minutes to go, and pumped in three points and three rebounds in three minutes to seal the Wildcats' sixth straight victory against their oldest rivals.
Timothy also helped on the defensive end as the Wildcats held Humboldt State to just 18-percent shooting while holding the Lumberjacks to their lowest point total in the series since 1949-50.
Timothy and the Wildcats (12-5, 9-4 CCAA) are back in action this weekend at Cal State Dominguez Hills Friday and Cal State LA Saturday.
