Chico State's Cody Snider says he always carries Skittles in his back pocket during games. It may or may not be coincidental that Snider is currently in Beast Mode. The Wildcat of the Week went 6-for-13 with a two-run homer and a two-run triple to help propel Chico State to a three-game sweep of Cal State San Bernardino over the weekend at Nettleton Stadium.

Snider, who slugged .846, also drew two walks and stole a base against the Coyotes. The senior outfielder has now hit safely in seven straight games and 14 of the last 15. During that 15-game stretch, he's 25-for-65 with 17 runs scored, 15 RBI, eight extra-base hits, and three stolen bases. He has raised his average by 50 points to .331 in the process.

Snider gave Chico State's fans a taste of the rainbow in Friday's series opener, hitting a high-arching two-run homer over the wall in right field to give the Wildcats a 5-0 lead. It was his lone hit of the game (he also drew a walk), but it was the game's biggest. The Wildcats went on to win 7–4.

Snider banged out three more hits, stole a base, and scored two runs in the second game of Friday's doubleheader, a 6–2 victory.

Snider's at-bats were again gold in Saturday's series finale. He drew a key walk during a four-run rally that gave the Wildcats the lead in the third. And in the sixth, he smacked an opposite-field two-run triple that broke the game open. Snider finished 2-for-4 and the Wildcats won 9–4.

The Wildcats play their final home series next weekend against Cal State East Bay needing two wins to clinch their second straight CCAA title. Snider and the rest of the team's seniors will be honored prior to Sunday's game.
