Chico State senior third baseman Dylan Garcia hit .533 with four RBI, four runs and a stolen base in the Wildcats' four-game series at 11th-ranked Cal Poly Pomona over the weekend to earn Wildcat of the Week honors.

Garcia, a transfer from Grossmont Community College and product of Granite Hills High School, reached base at least twice in all four games, going 8-for-15 at the plate with a walk and hit-by-pitch.

He went 2-for-5 with a run and an RBI Friday, 3-for-5 with two doubles, two RBI and a run in the Wildcats' wild 11-10 win Saturday. He was 2-for-3 with a stolen base and run scored in the nightcap and then wrapped up the series Sunday by going 1-for-2 with a run and RBI and also drew a walk and was hit by a pitch.

Garcia slugged .667 in the series and boasted an on-base percentage of .556.

In his last eight games, Garcia is hitting .483 and his raised his batting average from .261 to .347.

The 2014 All-CCAA Honorable Mention selection is batting .364 in conference play. He hit .397 in conference action last season.
