Ask Head Coach Brian Fogel who the hardest-working player is on the Chico State women's basketball team, and he'll provide the answer before you finish the question. Because of her tireless efforts, Hannah Womack is now regarded as one of the top guards in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA), and last weekend's performance – 35 points, six 3-pointers and four assists in two games – not only cemented that reputation, but also earned the Redding native Wildcat of the Week honors.

Womack turned in one of her best offensive performances of the season Friday against Cal Poly Pomona, knocking down five 3-pointers en route to 23 points – her third straight game scoring 20 or more – in leading the Wildcats to a near upset of the defending NCAA West Region champion Broncos. The following night Womack notched her 10th consecutive double-digit scoring performance, pacing the 'Cats with 13 points while adding two assists in a road loss to UC San Diego.

Womack currently ranks fourth among all CCAA players in scoring, averaging 16.3 points a game. She is also fifth in the conference in 3-pointers (22) and sixth in free throw percentage (86.5 percent).

Womack and the Wildcats play eight of their next 10 contests at Acker Gym, beginning this weekend with games against Humboldt State Friday and Cal State San Bernardino on Saturday. Â
