Chico State senior Justin Saul sewed up his collegiate career with two assists in a 2-2 tie against Cal State San Bernardino in Thursday's season finale to earn Wildcat of the Week honors.
Saul set up Matt Hurlow's 17th-minute equalizer, collecting his own cleared corner kick and then curling a cross it back in to the far post where Hurlow headed it home.
Saul, a senior from Malibu, helped even the match again late in the second half, sailing a perfectly-executed 40-yard free kick to the PK spot. Carter Johnson jetted around the defense and flicked it on into the back of the net with a header to make it 2-2 in the 88th minute.
Saul, who scored his first collegiate goal on Senior Day the Sunday prior, finished the season with a team-high five assists and tallied eight helpers in his two-year career with the 'Cats.
