TJ Yasuhara finished the 2011 baseball season with a flourish, earning  California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Championship  All-Tournament recognition and Wildcat of the Week honors in the  process. The junior shortstop hit safely in the Wildcats' final 10  games, batting .512 during that stretch, including .467 in the CCAA  Championship Tournament. He went 7-for-15 as the Wildcats won one of  three games last weekend in Stockton, scoring four runs and driving in  three. He also walked twice and compiled an on-base percentage of .529.
Yasuhara went 1-for-6 with a run and an RBI in the tournament-opening  win against Sonoma State. He then went 4-for-6 and smacked a game-tying  home run in the bottom of the ninth the following day in a winners'  bracket game against UC San Diego. The Wildcats eventually lost, but  Yasuhara scored three times and reached base in five of seven plate  appearances. In the team's season finale, Yasuhara went 2-for-3 with an  RBI.
Yasuhara went 21-for-41 over his last 10 games and reached base in 26 of  46 plate appearances during that stretch for a sparkling on-base  percentage of .565. He raised his batting average to .342 (second on the  team) in the process.
